Job Overview: 

As a Client Accounting and Advisory Services Staff (CAAS), you would be providing outstanding service to our clients through accurate and timely issuance of financial reporting, monthly closing of client books, precise payroll processing, and successful partnership with other De Boer, Baumann & Company, P.L.C. departments.

Engagement Services: 

  • Prepares and maintains detailed work schedules for assigned client projects
  • Monitors engagement progress and due dates
  • Prepares financial reports for assigned clients
  • Formats financial reports as needed for client specific needs
  • Creates new client engagements to include SOP for the client which can include: chart of accounts, financial report formatting, processing procedures, and other important client specific details
  • Travel to client location for on-site training
  • Perform special projects, as needed


Marketi
ng and Business Development

  • Sells, or assists in selling, CAAS engagements to clients and potential clients
  • Develops and documents SOP for current clients, to help ensure the quality and consistency of CAAS engagements
  • Prepares fee analysis, timelines, and proposals for new engagements


Technical and Client Service Skills

  • Skilled in all aspects of accounting software utilized in servicing clients including:
    • QuickBooks Online
    • QuickBooks Online payroll
    • QuickBooks Desktop
    • Bill.com experience, preferred
  • Attends Continuing Professional Education courses, provided by DeBoer, Baumann & Company, P.L.C.


Qualifications: 

Education/Licensing 

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or other relevant field, preferred


Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abiliti
es

  • QuickBooks online experience
    • Must be comfortable enough to provide on-site training to clients
  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training, including general accounting and research experience, preferred
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills; ability to make decisions
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Teamwork oriented with a willingness to grow and desire to go above and beyond


Schedule and Environment 

  • Full-time, benefited position
  • Office with hybrid schedule available once fully trained
