Rachel Hoffman, CPA – Senior Staff Accountant
In 2020, Rachel joined the De Boer, Baumann & Company team as an intern and now holds the title of senior staff accountant. In her new role, Rachel works closely with her clients in various industries performing audits, compilations, and tax preparations.
Rachel has devoted the entirety of her professional career to serving De Boer, Baumann & Company. She first became familiar with the firm during the 2020 tax season and was pleased to join the team full-time after graduating from college. While she was still in school, Rachel also completed an internship working in accounts payable for Boxed Water is Better.
As a senior staff accountant, Rachel has a variety of responsibilities. She is a 1040 expert, assists in training interns, and serves on the A&A Committee. While taking an accounting class in high school, she was inspired to pursue a career in the field. One of her greatest strengths is public speaking which she believes has attributed to her successful career.
Rachel resides in Grand Rapids with her husband, Spencer, and their cat, Lupin. She loves everything that west Michigan has to offer. When not at work, Rachel enjoys puzzles, reading, taking in a show at the theatre, spending time with friends and family, and even participating in a dance class.
