De Boer, Baumann & Company Welcomes New Hire

Jose Hernandez became a member of DBC in 2023 when he joined the firm as an intern. He now serves as Staff Accountant, working with clients to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses. His penchant for hard work was shaped at an early age when he and his sister visited his parent’s hometown in Mexico, where seeing how much they had struggled to give their children a better life changed the way he saw the world. His parents encouraged him to pursue his college degree, where his love of math led him into accounting. His outlook can be summed up by his favorite quote, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”

Jose makes his home in Wyoming with his two toy poodles, Alvin and Sparky. In his free time, he enjoys soccer and college football, hanging out with friends, and catching the latest Marvel movie. A fan of living in the moment, Jose isn’t afraid to seek a thrill and has even been skydiving. He’s always up for an adventure, as long as it is somewhere warm!
